Wow this is an amazing choice for your garden. Think of the possibilities: Not only is it a striking red color but it is a medicinal herb, thrives throughout the south, can go in a pot on a border or in its own row next to other contrasting pretty flowers. Also, this is a butterfly and hummingbird magnet! You can't go wrong when choosing this. It is an annual however in the south it is a perennial. You would want to cover it during a light frost. A little TLC would go a long way with this wildflower. It will show up naturally in rocky dry soils.
